Welcome to Bastion LLC
Welcome! My name is Vaughn Miller, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia, plus 39 telehealth authorized states through PSYPACT. I specialize in providing psychotherapy services for adults, teenagers, couples, and members of the international community. I completed a Doctor of Psychology degree (Psy.D.) with Regent University's APA-accredited program in August of 2020, followed by postdoctoral training with American University's Counseling and Psychological Services in 2021.
As a clinical psychologist, I use culturally-informed techniques, primarily emphasizing the approaches of Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My clinical interests include trauma-informed care, cross-cultural counseling, couples counseling, identity development, grief and loss work, mindfulness, in addition to the treatment of anxiety and depression.
Personally, I have ten years of experience as a K-12 teacher in both the United States and the Kingdom of Bahrain, having earned an M.S. in Adaptive Special Education in 2011. In my free time, I enjoy playing Indie games on Steam, traveling with family, and singing (as a tenor) in my local church choir.

Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
● You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
● Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
● If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
● Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
